Did you know that it takes over 300 volunteers to put on the Run to Victory? Groups, Teams, Charities and individuals are welcome to be a part of the excitement of the 3rd annual Run to Victory. Volunteers help make the Run to Victory possible for the athletes to compete in a fun, safe, and organized way. We believe that those of you who give your time and energy to help support the Run to Victory should be treated as well as, if not better than, the participants. We work hard to make sure that you receive the resources necessary to be a successful volunteer, that you're safe, as comfortable as possible, and that you have a great time outside with us and the participants in Randleman, North Carolina!!

So, why volunteer when you can just watch? Because you'll receive the adulation of the racers, lots of great schwag, and be well fed at the after-race party, but most of all, you'll be an integral part of the event. All of our volunteer locations are carefully chosen for ease of access, convenient parking, and bathrooms. Some volunteer because they're interested in road races and want to check it out up close; some are participants who need a down day; some are friends, family, or significant others of the athletes who want to be a part of the festivities and share in the fun.
Race volunteers do a wide variety of things, including but not limited to:
Volunteers are needed:
Saturday December 6th from 10am – 4pm
Sunday December 7th from 6am – 3pm
(Volunteers will not be needed for the entire time. There are various shifts available).
There are many locations and jobs that you can sign up for – some are at the race start line, finish line area and some are on course. We'll do our best to accommodate your preferences and abilities.
Absolutely! The Volunteer Coordinator has a list of volunteer assignments. You'll be able to request specific assignments/locations, and times. You're also given the chance to tell us the name of anyone you want to work with. This way, you'll be able to choose exactly what you want to do and you and a friend can easily sign up for the same location and jobs.
We've found that race volunteers are amongst the warmest and friendliest people you're likely to encounter. Whether by yourself, or with a friend, you'll meet some great new people!
